The risks and outcomes of stroke in women differ than those from men. This webinar will discuss the relationship between various stroke risk factors and stroke occurrence in women as compared to men. There are also differences in responses to tpa and the use of this treatment among men and women. Animal studies suggest that estrogen may play a role in these differences. Relevant factors related to response to therapy will be discussed.
